- Chop the onion and garlic and sauté in a medium saucepan with butter.
- While that's cooking, in a separate bowl, stir together the remaining ingredients and add to the saucepan when onion and garlic become tender, about 5 minutes.
- Simmer the ingredients for 30 minutes until the sauce becomes thick and flavorful. For a thinner sauce, reduce the cooking time.
