    Ingredients

    • 5 lbs peeled, cored and cut into 8 slices
    • 1/2 cup apple cider
    • 1 lemon, juiced
    • 1/3 cup Sweetly Stevia®
    • 2 tablespoons dark, unsulfured molasses
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 tablespoon butter

    Directions

    1. Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook partially covered for 45 - 60 minutes, stirring occasionally until the apples get soft.
    2. Take the mixture and puree until the applesauce is the consistency you prefer.
    3. Pour into a bowl and stir in the butter. Transfer to mason jars or an airtight container and store in the refrigerator up to 1-2 weeks.
